Passions of Paradise offers daily departures to the Great Barrier Reef from Cairns. We offer a two destination itinerary with our locations chosen each day from a selection of over 24 moorings on the outer Great Barrier Reef some of which include Hastings Reef (1770, Coral Gardens, Turtle Bommie, Split Bommie), Paradise Reef, Long Bommie, Milne Reef, Moore reef&nbsp; and more!&nbsp;Each day we will tailor the day&rsquo;s itinerary to the weather conditions.

Activities on offer include snorkelling and scuba diving. Full snorkelling tuition is provided and our staff are on hand to offer complimentary guided tours for beginner&nbsp;snorkellers.

Staff&nbsp;are fully trained and qualified PADI professional offering the utmost care and patience for&nbsp;our beginner divers. It is recommended that if you wish to dive, you pre-book this.&nbsp;For more experienced divers, we also have a dedicated dive tender to allow access to deeper waters.

&nbsp;Lunch is served by our onboard chef which includes a selection of hot and cold buffet meats, salads and fresh tropical fruit. Vegetarians and allergies&nbsp;can be catered&nbsp;on request.&nbsp;

&nbsp;After lunch we move to our second location of the day. This location offers a second round of in-water activities at a new and diverse reef structure. Our staff is on hand again to offer assistance and guidance for both snorkellers and divers. Our day ends with the captain hoisting the sails and the cruise back to Cairns commences. Passengers can enjoy a cold refreshing drink from our fully licensed bar and relax on our boom netting. Alternatively, our passionate Eco-certified staff are on hand to offer marine life presentations.&nbsp;

Important Info about pickups:

Check-in commences at 7am at&nbsp; the Passions of Paradise desk inside the Reef Fleet terminal at Number 1 Spence Street Cairns. Upon check in our friendly staff will issue passengers with boarding cards and directions to the boat which is approximately 200 metres away. Parking is available right across the street and costs about $11 per day.

Transfers can be arranged on request directly with the operator before travel (extra fees apply), however, most city-centre hotels are within walking distance.

The tour departs at 8 am sharp and return at approx. 5pm

My daughter and I went on Passion of Paradise snorkeling trip yesterday. It was incredible. We saw so many colorful fish and coral. The reef was amazing. I have mobility issues and the whole staff was so accommodating and helpful. Simon did all the navigating while I was in the water so I got to see so much. No sunburn either with the body suits provided. Five star rating for a wonderful trip!

Incredible Experience

The crew, boat, diving and snorkelling were all excellent and we had a fabulous day!

Awesome experience!

My experience is a little different.. sadly the weather cancelled my trip today but I didn’t find this out until I was already at the ferry terminal at 7am. Would have been good to be notified before hand. However, passion of paradise were great at rebooking this for me, I am looking forward to my new rescheduled tour tomorrow!

Loved my experience. The first reef we visited was beautiful. The water was calm and the day was sunny so it was perfect for a snorkel. There were tons of fish and marine life to see and admire. I'm not the strongest swimmer so I stuck with one of the crew and she did a wonderful job of identifying the marine life we were viewing. The second reef we visited was a little smaller and the water was a bit rough at this point but we were still able to enjoy the views.

Individual Cancellation policy

The supplier has a very generous cancellation policy which allows you to cancel or change (subject to seating availability) up to 24 hours&nbsp;before travel. After this time, there is a 100% cancellation fee.

&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;If cancellation occurs more than 14 days prior to arrival, a full refund applies.

&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;If cancellation occurs 7- 13 days prior, a 50% refund applies.

&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;If cancellation occurs 7 days or less, refund will be at Management&rsquo;s discretion.

The supplier reserves the right to cancel the day tour due to poor weather conditions, mechanical problems or use another vessel, or travel to different reef sites.

The supplier offers a two destination itinerary, Michaelmas Cay and 1&nbsp;Exclusive Outer Reef Location. After the 1st of April 2017 the supplier will no longer visit Michaelmas Cay. The supplier will visit two outer reef locations chosen from its brand new selection of 24 spectacular destinations. &nbsp;At times; the weather may make one of these destinations unsafe or impractical to visit. On those days, the supplier may only visit one location. In poor weather, it is up to the Skippers discretion as he travels to the reef to decide which locations will be visited. He will choose keeping in mind your safety, the safety of the boat and your comfort. There are no refunds when the itinerary is changed.

The supplier will endeavour to sail as much as we can each day, however, the wind speed and wind direction determine for how long this occurs. The skipper will keep everyone informed on the supplier sailing plans for the day.

Should the trip be cancelled due to poor weather or mechanical breakdown, the supplier will refund 100% of the amount we charged.

All divers must complete a Queensland Medical Questionnaire. Please be aware that certain medical conditions (eg asthma, heart disease, diabetes) may preclude some people from diving. Location Details 
The Passions of Paradise desk is located inside the Reef Fleet Terminal at 1 Spence Street, Cairns City. The terminal is situated at the Marlin Marina, adjacent to the waterfront and near the Esplanade Lagoon. Upon entering the terminal, look for the clearly marked Passions of Paradise counter, which is staffed daily from 7:00 am. This is the designated check-in point for all Passions of Paradise tours.

How to Get There 
By Train: 
Cairns Railway Station is approximately a 15-minute walk from the Reef Fleet Terminal. Exit the station onto Bunda Street, head north, then turn right onto Spence Street and continue to the waterfront.

By Bus: 
Several local bus routes stop near the Reef Fleet Terminal. The closest bus stops are on Lake Street and Abbott Street, both within a 5-minute walk to the terminal.

By Car: 
Parking is available at the Pier Shopping Centre Car Park, located at 1 Pier Point Road, Cairns City, adjacent to the Reef Fleet Terminal. Additional street parking is available on surrounding streets, but may be limited during peak times.

By Foot: 
The Reef Fleet Terminal is easily accessible on foot from most areas within Cairns City, especially from accommodations along the Esplanade and the central business district.
